We are finally ready to reopen!

Dear valued patients,
Your health and well-being continue to be our highest priority. We have carefully planned and revised our office procedures to minimize infection risk for our patients and our team members. Our own families are also patients here, so you can be assured that we will be taking care of you just as well as we will be taking care of them. For your peace of mind, the measures we will be taking to provide a safe dental treatment experience include, but are not limited to, the following:

Upon Your Arrival at the Office

  • When booking appointments, patients will be screened BEFORE entering the office with a COVID-19 form or a series of questions assessing your well-being. Any response indicating recent exposure to someone with COVID-19 or having symptoms will not be booked or be asked to leave and not return for the specified 14-day self-quarantine requirement.
  • Patients are asked to wait outside the office until their appointment time.
  • Hand sanitizer is mandatory upon entry
  • Masks are mandatory
  • COVID-19 screening with a series of questions or COVID-19 form upon entry to the office
  • Patient & Staff temperatures will be checked upon arrival. Any person with a temperature over 100 degrees Fahrenheit (or 37.7 Celsius), you will be asked to leave and not return for the specified 14-day self-quarantine requirement.
  • ONLY patients will be allowed entry into the office. Parents and other family members will be asked to wait outside whenever possible.
  • The waiting area chairs will be spaced apart to allow for 6 feet of distancing.
  • We will ask that you continue to practice social distancing measures in the office’s common areas, including the front desk and follow the markers on the floor.
  • Our washrooms will be closed (except for emergencies!)

In Treatment Room

  • We have installed 17 high-volume medical-grade HEPA AIR FILTERS in our office to help remove bacteria, fungi and viruses. They include ultraviolet lights to help kill microbes as well. The units are capable of removing particles smaller than COVID-19 viruses for your safety.
  • We have installed extra-oral vacuum units in each operatory, in addition to our usual high volume suctions.
  • Overnight Ozone treatment
  • HOCl Fogging is used after every patient in each operatory.
  • All rooms will continue to be disinfected entirely before each patient is seated.
  • Our team will continue to STRICTLY follow guidelines set out in the Alberta Dental Association and College Standards regarding personal protective equipment (PPE) and office sterilization.
  • Pre-treatment medical mouth rinses to reduce germs.
  • Appropriate safety protective barriers to cover the surfaces
  • Eye protection for our patients
  • Regular educational classes to stay updated with our infection control protocols
  • Sterilize all instruments after use
  • Headphones will no longer be provided, but you may bring your own

Checking Out After Your Appointment

  • Clear panels will be in place at the front desk to protect against water droplets from either side.
  • After every transaction, the checkout desk and credit terminal will be wiped with disinfectant.
  • If you are required to sign dental insurance forms, you will be given a clean pen for you to keep.
We are proceeding with an abundance of caution, but we want you to feel as confident as we do that any visit you make to our office will be a safe one. We are so grateful for every one of our patients.
